World Wide Web

After reading, “Microsoft CEO to Focus on Mobile, Cloud Technology”, I think that Microsoft has a good chance at creating a new smartphone that is as efficient, innovative, and timeless, as its competitors. One comment that  Satya Nadella, of the new CEO’s, made was the reason he said he has associated with Microsoft was to bring impact. iCloud is basically like a wireless sync connection that allows you to have access or back and store information to your computer from any ios7 running device with a wireless receiver. ‘The Cloud’ in this instance is this imaginary storage unit that gives you the capability to obtain your files from anywhere that allows you a wireless connection.

Networks And Communication

The main difference between asynchronous and synchronus communication I believe is only the relatively of how fast a conversation can take place between the sender and recipitants in either case. With asychronous communication you can communticate with people on a “phone” tag basis, meaning the conversation is taking place but the two conversing are simply replying on their own time and what is best convenient. The best time to use asynchronous would be in meeting, a moment when you don’t want to be rude or distracted on the phone, and even public areas. Synchronous communication would be used in long-distance communication, but best for fast and direct communication. Although e-mail is considered an asynchronous means of communication it has evolved into so much more. As stated in the reading, "What started out as an asynchronous electronic memo-sending facility has grown in functionality to a piece of software that, in addition to sending electronic messages, also acts as a to-do list; supports task management; serves to remind the user of important tasks, meetings, and deadlines; incorporates a calendar to support diary keeping; archives messages; sustains lengthy and extended conversations between two or more participants; and acts as an address book (Bellotti, Ducheaneat, Howard, Smith, & Grinter, 2005)", you can come to understand how technology is a progressive device that aims to make life efficient.
